World Mission
The sole purpose of the Missions Department is to enable and inspire the Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies as a  Fellowship the Great Commission as expressed by Jesus (Matthew 28 : 19-20), assuming responsibility for the spread of the Gospel regionally and throughout the world.   The Fellowship is cooperative of God’s people. Each has his/her own part to play in carrying forward God’s work. The Missions Department provides the connecting link between missionary contributors and missionary families. For their needs we stand together in united faith and effort. All are treated alike with loving and faithful consideration.

Objectives
The Goals of the mission shall be:

  1. The widest possible evangelization of the spiritually lost through every legitimate means wherever possible, going first to the diverse cultures of the Caribbean Region but also to the people’s of the whole world in order to lead all people to a personal faith in Jesus Christ.
  2. The gathering of believers into congregation and the establishment of these congregations as autonomous Assemblies after the New Testament pattern.
  3. The training of believers to proclaim the Gospel to their own people in an expanding mission to other peoples’ emphasizing the need for all believers to respond to, and participate in the Great Commission.
  4. The promotion of World Mission among all of our Assemblies and members.
  5. The showing of compassion for suffering peoples in a manner representing the love of Jesus Christ realizing that emergency relief and development aid are also an integral part in fulfilling the Great Commission.
  6. The encouragement and solicitation of Financial support for the Missions program from throughout the entire Fellowship or any other legitimate sources.
  7. To assist each district to set up structures to accomplish the World Mission mandate.
  8. To provide adequate training for missionary candidates.
  9. To establish effective communication systems between International Office and district Missions Directors.
  10. To establish an appropriate Administrative Structure within six (6) months.
  11. Given present resources, missionary candidates should be asked to raise at least 50% of their support.
  12. Missionary support may come through ‘family adopted’ missionaries and groups of families may combine their resources to adopt and support a missionary family.
  13. Examine closely, possible conflicts of raising funds by both the International office and the individual missionary, from the same congregations.
  14. Missionary concentration should be focused on other language groups within the region and hemisphere, for example French, Spanish and Dutch speaking peoples.
