Human Resource Development
Objectives
To identify the skills and gifting of the Fellowship’s Human Resource in order to maximize the potential of each person in his/her contribution to the kingdom of God and to diffuse that information within the next two (2) years.

  • Identify Needs
  • Develop a Skill Bank
  • Do two (2) surveys
  • Empowerment
  • Evaluate/Monitor
  • Design and Implement Strategy
  • Determine Cost and Development Financial Strategies
  • Pray and believe for Miracles

Goals

  • To initiate this work, we must first structure two (2) surveys. The first of which would enable us to recognize the needs as they exist within our Districts / Fellowship.
  • The second should be able to identify the qualified and gifted persons, skilled and non skilled. These within the next six (6) months.
  • To create training modules into which these resource persons can be trained, updated and given delegated responsibilities in addressing these needs, thus empowering our Resource Personnel.

Strategic Initiatives
Training
The following aspects were enunciated:

  1. There should be a shift in thinking to accommodate the training of Pastors as General Managers. Consideration therefore need to be given to the quality of persons that enter WIST, to the entry requirements of prospective ministers and to the all-round standards expected of graduants. It is imperative that WIST has a clear picture of the competencies each graduants should possess.
  2. WIST should expand its curriculum and broaden its scope of training to include such disciplines as financial management, human resource management and leadership to name a few. Continuity as a ministry training institution cannot be over emphasized.
  3. An ongoing system of training should be instituted fellowship-wide that requires workers to enroll in refresher and developmental courses scheduled especially for that purpose. The aims of this measure would be:
  4. To broaden workers’ vision,
  5. To create a willingness and desire in them to be taught further and
  6. To provide them with knowledge consistent with their responsibilities.
  7. Emphasis should be placed on the establishment of WIST Extension Divisions in each district, so as to make quality training more easily accessible to the P.A.W.I. constituent and to as wide a cross-section of the Christian community as possible.
  8. Each Districts should incorporate training as part of it’s annual District Conference and at other strategic times of the year.
